In this movie, some of us can relate to the feeling or situation Oliver was going through at his young age itself (Feeling of being ignored or feeling of not being accepted by others because you’re a little different). Director and team did a good job I believe, scenes were kind of horrifying (light-hearted people please don’t watch because there’re some jump scares to take your breath away) because one wasn’t able to know how and from where Larry will attack one.
Big question till half of the movie, who the hell is Larry is he a human being who has been possessed by some evil identity or he’s some demon from another world. But larry is a reflection of a friend that one needs in his/her life who can accept the other with all the flaws and be their friend till the end no matter what happens. Larry can take one to his world, where one won't feel lonely or left out ever and for that, you’ve to take larry’s hand willingly if not he’ll create a situation for you somehow with his demonic nature.
During the movie, we get to see Oliver is having bad relation with his mother because Oliver doesn’t make eye contact with his mother ever in the movie whenever they had some conversation and he thought his mother ain’t have a caring nature towards him and always wants him to get over his disability as soon as possible. Oliver has this non-verbal autistic problem and uses smartphones to communicate with others. In this last, his mother sacrificed her life (by willingly taking the hand of Larry who was just inches away to take him) and at that right moment, Oliver makes eye contact with her mother and Larry takes her away to his world.
Lastly, we got a message if anyone around us or anyone we know is going through autism disorder please be good with them because they’re trying their best and other things don’t ever show them your pity behavior towards one and school needs to take care of those special children more they become an easy target for a bully.
